I am now past my first year as a globe broadband subscriber 3mbps wired residential DSL. Since there is not other ISP that is better than the terrible service that Globe gives me, I have no choice but to deal with their bullshit. But then again, one year with such a crappy service will only make you a better person!
These are the traits that Globe broadband has given me.
Thriftiness. There was one time when I couldn’t work for a week because Globe was fucked up, I lost one weeks worth of salary and to add to that I experienced ongoing intermittent connections for a few weeks after that. I learned how to budget my money and to not spend too much because I knew that out of the blue Globe would FUCK their service up again. So better save for the rainy days!
Patience. Fucking globe service sucks so bad that you’d just want to kill a kitten (poor kittens). But thanks to Globe I have learned to spare stray kittens lives. Also, dealing with their customer service daily is such a fucking bad experience, telling me to turn on my modem off and on (even though I’ve told them that I’ve done that shit and don’t need to) every fucking call! So if my call gets disconnect, well, here we go again (FUCK!). That taught me to just breathe in and tell them to fuck themselves in my head.
Also, applied for static IP on February 7, 2012; guess what date it is? The customer told me that I should keep monitoring and wait for a week. They probably don’t know how many days in a week there is because it’s over a fucking month and still no static IP.
Problem Solving. What do you do if customer service sucks? Well, you solve the problem yourself! Selective browsing has been messing with my workflow for a month now and I have no choice but to subscribe to StrongVPN to be able to access a lot of websites that Globe blocked(?). Fuck you very much globe, your service sucks, it costs too fucking much compared to services in other countries, the service costs a lot of hassle and headaches and I have to pay for another service to make your service better? Thanks Globe, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have this trait.
Thanks Globe for making me a better person! Your terrible service made sure that I have no choice but to be a better person. Also thanks for ignoring my tweets. It’s been months that I’ve tweeted to @talk2globe and @enjoyglobe and I haven’t gotten a single tweet back.
I guess the next trait that you’ll give me is tact.
